To reach Chihuahua Gulch, we embark on an exciting 4×4 Jeep ride that lasts approximately one hour. The Jeep ride itself is an adventure, as we navigate the rugged terrain and steep slopes. Our destination is a trailhead from which we must hike to continue the journey. The hike can be tiresome, but it is well worth the effort. The trail breaks into flower-filled meadows, and it ends at a beautiful alpine lake that sits well above the tree line.
